About DoubleDutch
Profile: DoubleDutch allows companies to build custom branded geolocation applications for their customers. The consumer experience with a DoubleDutch app is largely dependant on the requirements of the issuing brand. A company might serve simple branded social check-in app like Foursquare or Gowalla that rewards consumers for checking in at certain locations. A company might also create a location based game that rewards customers for completing location-specific challenges or simply for playing the game. The value proposition for consumers therefore is entirely up to the brand issuing the app.
Promotional Mechanisms: By customizing the location based social network (LBSN) experience, DoubleDutch clients can serve their customers with a more brand-centric offering than a campaign operated through a LBSN like Foursquare, Gowalla, or SCVNGR. With DoubleDutch a company can in effect create their own branded version of Foursquare, Gowalla, or SCVNGR and have greater control over the content delivery process. Specific promotional mechanisms will again rely primarily on the specific features designed into the app.
